Sprouts of Peace is geared for children, Pre-K—5th grade, and their parents who are interested in building interfaith friendships and learning about how their religious tradition is similar to and different from those of the friends they will make.
2021 Sprouts of Peace programming includes resources for at-home enrichment and virtual community building such as: virtual programming, interfaith educational materials, crafts, recipes, and more.
New in 2021, participation will also include six children’s books free of charge (reading level 0-gr. 3). The Sprouts of Peace Home Library Program is designed to foster conversations around shared religious values of compassion and generosity and build empathy and understanding among young children.
We hope the Sprouts of Peace virtual programming combined with the Sprouts of Peace Home Library will bridge the obstacles imposed by the pandemic to allow families to celebrate our similarities and differences and work toward a stronger, more inclusive St. Louis region–from the comfort of our homes.
The Sprouts of Peace Home Library Program is supported by grant funding from the St. Louis Cardinals Community Fund Cardinal’s Care, the Feldman Family Foundation, and generous donors to Interfaith Partnership. Through the Scholastic Literacy Partnership Program, we are able to purchase books at deep discounts. Learn more about the history of Sprouts of Peace.
