Interfaith Service Projects Feed the Heart and the Hungry

On Saturday Dec. 5, 2014, Interfaith Partnership sponsored a service project to benefit Lydia’s House.  Volunteers representing Catholicism from St. Louis University and  Visitation Academy, the United Church of Christ, Lutherans, Eastern Orthodoxy and Latter-day Saint traditions gathered together to prepare a meal for 40 women and children.

Lydia’s House provides transitional housing for abused women and children while working in faith to end domestic violence.  The meal IP volunteers prepared helps give hope to the families that are rebuilding their lives now that they are living in a safe place.

Check out photos from the service project here.

IP’s next service project will be on Monday Jan. 19, 2015, from 9am to 12 noon. We will be volunteering at Joe’s Place, a homeless shelter for teenage boys.  To sign up for this project, please contact service@interfaithstl.org, or call Leslie at 314-918-2541.
