Interfaith Partnership of Greater St. Louis elects new president, officers

Leonard J. Frankel, a lawyer active in Jewish organizations and interfaith causes, has been elected board president of the Interfaith Partnership of Greater St. Louis for 2017-2019.
The non-profit interfaith group brings together both clergy and lay persons of nearly 30 diverse faiths for dialogue, celebration, service, pursuit of social justice, and increased understanding of one another.
Frankel is a partner in the firm of Frankel, Rubin, Klein, Dubin, Siegel & Payne, P.C. and concentrates his practice in mediation. Frankel also has been president of the Jewish Community Relations Council, the American Jewish Congress – Midwest division and Congregation B’nai Amoona, a Conservative Jewish congregation.
Dr. David C. Oughton was elected to a two-year term as the vice president of the board of Interfaith Partnership. He has served on the board for the last ten years. During the last 30 years he has organized many interfaith dialogue meetings and other programs. Oughton, who is a Catholic Christian, teaches courses in the world’s religions in the Department of Theological Studies at Saint Louis University.
The executive committee also includes Interfaith Partnership board secretary Ann Miller, who is with the Presbyterian Church USA and is chairperson of Interfaith Partnership of St. Charles County; and treasurer Rev. Scott Jenkins, a member of the Brentwood Church of Christ Scientist.
