Holocaust Museum & Learning Center Special Event
On Sunday, June 8th, Interfaith Partnership co-sponsored a guided tour and special presentation at the St. Louis Holocaust Museum & Learning Center. Dr. Dave Oughton, board member for both the museum and IP, led the tour, which culminated with a special presentation by Holocaust survivor Mendel Rosenberg.
Over 50 members and friends of IP joined for an afternoon of learning, exploring and asking questions. The museum opened in 1995 but many visitors for the event were first-time guests there. The museum is located at the Jewish Federation and admission is free and open to the public; those who were unable to be part of the June 8 tour can learn more about the museum here.
After the guided tour, guests were treated to a special presentation by Holocaust survivor Mendel Rosenberg, an active presence at the museum where he tells his story and advocates for intentional storytelling so that we do not ever forget. Mr. Rosenberg and his wife Sandra generously sponsor the Sunday Afternoon Film Series, for which movies are screened at the museum free of charge once a month.
