It will help faith leaders to better understand the lived experiences of their community members impacted by trauma and community violence. Offered by ARCHS’ Neighborhood Healing Network, this training will help participants to:
• Develop a deeper understanding of trauma, its various forms, and impact on health and functioning as a result of primary (individual) victimization and indirect victimization;
• Gain trauma-sensitive practices and strategies to avoid re-traumatizing individuals who have experienced trauma and/or victimization, both interpersonal and organizational perspective; and
• Learn to navigate the community resources and networks to support the immediate and long-term needs of individuals who experience trauma.
