Story Lounge: Beacons of Hope

Every month the St. Louis Storytelling Festival hosts ‘Story Lounge’, which is typically an open-mic storytelling event.
For June Story Lounge, which will be June 27, St. Louis Storytelling Festival is collaborating with Arts & Faith St. Louis for a special event called “Beacons of Hope”. “Beacons of Hope” is a live storytelling program about stories of finding hope through connecting and interacting with people of different backgrounds, particularly from different faith backgrounds, but different backgrounds of any kind. We are accepting pitches from potential storytellers who want to share a 7-8 minute story. They do NOT have to be professional tellers, we are just looking for heartwarming stories of hope and connection.
If anybody wants to submit a story, they can send a summary to me of their potential story, with a basic outline of the story.
The event will be Thursday, June 27, 6:30 pm at Sophie’s Lounge, 3224 Locust St., St. Louis, MO.
Anybody who shares a story will also have the chance to share their story at the annual Arts & Faith Concert in September at the Sheldon, if they wish – a great opportunity!
